UNAABI GRILL IN THE NEWS
Unaabi is featured in Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill newspaper The News & Observer. "...The warm light of an early summer evening filters through gauzy curtains in the windows at Unaabi Grill, amping up the vibrant colors of exotic folk costumes and tapestries on the walls. Precisely aimed spotlights reinforce the ambient light, reflecting off the burnished brass and copper of rustic cooking vessels on display shelves..." > Read More Comments from our guestbook: "We had dinner at Unaabi Grill tonight. It was delicious! The atmosphere was welcoming and the food superb. Welcome to Cary - we are happy to have you!" " Well, we really don't eat very much ethnic food in my family, but after today at Unaabi Grill, I am left speechless! The food was divine and the atmosphere superb. The waiter (Saba) did an excellent job and took care of us very well. She was very descriptive of the menu, and impressed us with impeccable service! After today, I'm pretty sure I'll be back many more times with friends to enjoy the amazing food. Thank you so much!" "Wow...how can I describe this place? Everything is FRESH! They actually marinate the kebabs as you order them. The classical music delights folks eating, and the menu is kid friendly, too! I can't describe how great this place is. It's not ordinarily Mediterranean; it's Afghani. The reviews on urbanspoon are good, too. I highly recommend that everyone dines here!" "Tonight, my husband and I decided to have Christmas dinner at Unaabi Grill and what a gift it was! When we walked in tonight, Tahir greeted us like old friends and we were so happy we had decided to spend Christmas at Unaabi. He brought us plate after plate of the most beautiful and succulent dishes--a delectable sampler of bolanee (fried turnovers) filled with spinach, pumpkin, scallions, or potatoes; the best plate of muntoo ever--we asked for spoons to ensure every drop of the yogurt and ground beef sauce found its way into our bellies; a sampler of grilled meats and vegetables, with lamb chops and cod fish that melted in our mouths; a lovely side of okra; and a fantastic rice sampler with beef naringe palau and beef kabuli palau.
We are so happy Unaabi is in Cary and we hope that everyone will try it. We are sure that if they do, Unaabi will be one of the most popular restaurants in the Triangle.!" If you would like to post a review, send an email here! |
